HUBUNGAN PENDIDIKAN DENGAN KEIKUTSERTAAN SUAMI MENJADI AKSEPTOR KB VASEKTOMI DI BANDAR JAYA TIMUR LAMPUNG TENGAH

Abstract

The level of education greatly influences a person's knowledge and attitude in behavior, in this case it will make it easier for men's behavior to determine which contraceptive they will choose. By empowering men to participate in family planning, it is hoped that we can overcome the problem of population growth. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between education and husband's participation in becoming a vasectomy family planning acceptor in Bandar Jaya Timur sub-district, Central Lampung. The design of this research is analytical. The population in this study was all couples of childbearing age (PUS) in Bandar Jaya Timur Subdistrict, Central Lampung, totaling 1,890 PUS. Sampling in this study used Simple Random Sampling of 330 respondents. The analysis used is univariate, namely percentage or proportion and bivariate to test the relationship. The results of the statistical test obtained Chi Square count 31.52 > Chi Square table 3.841 with an error level of (a) 5%, so Ho is rejected, Ha is accepted. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between education and the husband's participation in becoming a vasectomy family planning acceptor in Bandar Jaya Timur District, Central Lampung. Suggestions for the Bandar Jaya Timur sub-district to be able to optimize services, especially in the reproductive sector, by developing health service plans, especially the health of couples of childbearing age related to vasectomy contraception.
